MFR for missing counseling (absent leader or soldier)
Memo format following AR 25-50 for missing counseling. You can use this memorandum for record (MFR) to take the place of a counseling in a packet when one is not available due to leader or service member unavailability. Reasons to complete an MFR for End of Month (EOM) counseling could include block leave, TDY, school, emergency leave, etc..
Use this MFR for missing counselings to cover the gpas in counseling periods due to unforseen circumstances or gaps in leadership coverage. Don't forge old counseling documents and make Soldiers sign them. Don't leave big gaps in coverage in their counseling packets when they go to the board. Do the right thing and document these gaps appropriately. This MFR is also a great tool for new NCOs to use.
You will be able to find the documents I have created either through The Soldier's Spot MilSuite page (CAC required), storefront, or the TSS Patreon account, these presentations, articles, and tools I use take a considerable amount of time to make and I greatly appreciate any support you give by visiting there to support the continuation of these NCOPD topics and products.
